5 Silverwood Secrets that Even the Locals Don’t Know

Have you been going to Silverwood for years and think you know the park inside and out? Or do you have plans to visit for the first time and want to know some insider secrets? Well, if you answered yes to any of those questions, then this blog post is for you!

We are going to talk about 5 secrets at Silverwood that even the locals may not know.

First things first, right when you enter the park there is an Espresso and Pastry Bar that, if you’re like me, you have just rushed on by as you enter the park. Next time you go, you’re going to want to make this your first stop. This place offers a variety of refreshments that will satisfy the whole family’s cravings. My kids picked out fresh pastries that satisfied their morning sweet tooth, and I got myself a refreshing iced latte. The latte was the perfect morning pick-me-up for a hot summer morning. And I must say that Starbucks has nothing on Signature Silverwood Roasted Coffee! You’re not going to want to miss this place at your next visit.

This next one may not be the biggest secret, but is definitely the most fun and the best way to spend your loose change. Just outside The Roaring Creek Log Flume are 2 locations where you can soak unsuspecting riders with the drop of a quarter. Just look for the Log Flume Geyser signs and bring some quarters. Of the 2 locations, our favorite spot is the one right after the final drop. This is the end of the ride, and many riders may sigh in relief at not getting too wet, and then bam, you drop your quarter! After trying this once, I bet you will be saving loose quarters before your next trip.

Need a break on a hot summer day? Why not watch a short film? You may not know it, but Silverwood is home to the Main Street Theatre. No this isn’t the Theatre of Illusion, but an actual movie theatre showing short films. This particular day was showing The Three Stooges. It is the perfect way to escape the summer heat. So next time you’re visiting the park, get some popcorn and a cold drink and see what’s playing at the Main Street Theatre.

Now let’s walk over to boulder beach. There is the perfect secluded picnic table just outside of Avalanche Mountain and Ricochet Rapids that you may not know about. This is the perfect spot for a quiet meal. My advice? Grab some lunch from nearby Pablo’s or the Chicken Shack and walk on over to your own quiet oasis to enjoy your meal. I have never seen anyone else at this spot. But I suppose now the secret is out!

Last, but certainly not least, is something that I am sure has not gone unnoticed during your visits to Silverwood: The Flowers! From the flower beds to the hanging baskets, the flowers are next to none at Silverwood Theme Park. But did you know that they are grown on site? There are greenhouses around the park where the flowers are started as just bulbs. The details in all of the flower arrangements throughout the entire park are simply gorgeous. So, take out your cameras and pick your favorite floral backdrop for the best family photos!

Now that you have some insider secrets, what are you waiting for?! Plan your next trip to Silverwood Today!

Meet The Conductor

My name is Jessica. I’m a mom of two boys ages 9 and 11, and I’ve been married to my husband for nearly 14 years. In June of 2021 we decided to sell almost all of our belongings, buy a camper and some land, and move thousands of miles from anyone we knew to build our own family homestead. It’s been a wild adventure to say the least! If we’re not working on our land, you can find us out enjoying all that North Idaho has to offer. We love skiing (snowboarding for the boys), boating, fishing, hiking, and just everything outdoors! If you want to follow us along our journey, you can find us on instagram at PappyDaysRanch.
