New Boulder Beach Bites: Making Lunchtime a Breeze at Boulder Beach

There’s a lot of buzz going on around Silverwood’s new expansion, Emerald Forest, at Boulder Beach!  The park has outdone itself with a brand new splash pad area, a variety of new slides for younger kids, new cabanas, and  Eagle Hunt – the PNWs first dueling water coaster and the LONGEST dueling water coaster in the United States!

With this nearly 4-acre expansion, Boulder Beach has also ramped up its dining options, which is fantastic for families like ours who struggle with long lines, especially during the lunch rush.  Silverwood has listened to patrons’ feedback about wait times and the need for more efficient food service, and they have DELIVERED!  They have added two new food locations, a new drink location, and plenty of tables and seating!

Here are some details on the new additions:

Sapphire Kitchen

Attention pizza lovers!  Located right at the entrance of Boulder Beach water park on the right-hand side, you’ll find Sapphire Kitchen.   Here, you can order your own personal pan pizzas, so there’s no fighting over toppings!  Does pineapple go on pizza?  You can choose from Pepperoni, Cheese and Hawaiian, and don’t forget the breadsticks!    Not in the mood for pizza?  They also serve salads and a variety of delicious rice bowls!  The pork rice bowl was divine! Sapphire Kitchen is conveniently located near covered picnic tables, perfect for enjoying your meal in the shade before heading to the lazy river!

Rapids Grill

Silverwood has made family dining a breeze with Rapids Grill!  Located in the new Emerald Forest expansion, just before you reach Salmon run and Eagle Hunt, the new food pavilion features ample seating out front.

This grab and go location makes getting lunch or dinner a breeze with two separate lines, one on each side ( though we have yet to encounter a line there)!  Guests can choose from a large selection of freshly made, pre-packaged food options and pay for them at the counter!

This new grab and go system is so efficient it can serve up to 1200 guests an hour!  Helping guests minimize their wait times in food lines so they can go enjoy those new awesome waterslides!

Rapids Grill features a large variety of food items so you’ll be sure to find something for everyone in your party to enjoy.  Grab and Go items include  BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chicken strip & fry baskets, and even giant smoked turkey legs!  And oh my goodness are they filling!

Rapids Grill also serves a variety of side dishes and treats that rotate out each day.   You’ll find grab and go servings of fresh fruit, salads, macaroni and potato salad,  parfait cups and giant cookies!   Do NOT skip the cookies, they are every bit as delicious as they look!

Have some extra picky eaters??  Rapids Grill even offers a kids’ lunch box option with PB&J, fruit snacks, applesauce and juice (for ages 12 and younger).

We have tried almost everything on the menu at Rapids Grill as it’s so convenient and delicious, we just keep coming back!

Northern Flights

On those hot summer days, staying hydrated is a must!  Head over to Northern flights,  one of Boulder Beach’s new drink locations to grab your favorite beverage to sip on as you watch the kids enjoy the wave pool or the new slides.  Conveniently located between the second wave pool and Salmon Run, Northern Flights is the perfect spot to quench your thirst and keep the fun going!

This spot is ideal for quickly filling up your Silverwood sports bottle with your favorite fountain drink, saving you from waiting in long food lines just for a refill.  The menu also features a variety of beers and an enticing selection of tropical slushie cocktails, available with or without alcohol.  For those looking to sample, you can order a “Flight of Drinks” which includes your choice of four 4-ounce tasters of draft beers or alcoholic slushies — a great way to try multiple drinks at once!

Pro Tip:  If you love floating in the lazy river but find the swim-up bar too crowded, grab your drink from Northern Flights first –my personal favorite is the Jamaica Me Crazy!

We are thrilled about all these new dining and drink options at Boulder Beach!  They have truly made mealtime at Silverwood with three young kiddos a breeze.   With delicious, convenient choices and minimal wait times, we can spend more time enjoying the park and less time worrying about where to get food!  Here’s to a summer of fun, great food, and unforgettable memories at Silverwood!

I’m a stay-at-home PNW mom to three wonderful, neurodivergent kids!  Our life is very busy, but always an adventure!   I also run my Instagram account @TheBlondeSpaniard .

Here, I share about all things family, travel, home decor,  as well as local eats , events and activities! 

Our family loves the great outdoors, and you’ll often find us fishing, camping, kayaking, hiking, and making unforgettable memories together.  One of our favorite places to visit is Silverwood. I grew up exploring Silverwood, and now, I’m excited to create new memories there with my own children and share about those moments and tips and tricks of tackling Silverwood with neurodivergent children with all of you!
