RANKED: Every New Food Item at Silverwood For 2024

Silverwood is well-known for its thrilling rides and exhilarating water park, but when it comes to food? Trust me, Silverwood has that down, too!

Eight new menu offerings were rolled out for the 2024 season, and I decided to take on the challenge of trying every single one of them.

Without further ado, here they are ranked – with my very favorite, must-try item at the end!

  1. Smoked Turkey Legs

The turkey leg in Boulder Beach is a MASSIVE hunk of meat. It was dense and smoky, and will absolutely do the trick of filling up your belly! I am not a huge meat eater, so it was a bit much for me. However, this would be #1 on my 4-year-old’s list! She was a BIG fan. You can unleash your inner carnivore and get the turkey leg at Rapids Grill (the new grab-and-go spot to get food such as burgers, corn dogs, fries and even fresh watermelon!)

  1. Bavarian Pretzel Sticks

As a massive pretzel fan, these new pretzel sticks in the High Moon Saloon did NOT disappoint. They were chewy, soft, and made the perfect appetizer for our meal! Served with a sweet and spicy mustard, they were absolutely delicious.

  1. Churro Ice Cream

You can’t go wrong with ice cream – especially any ice cream from the Ice Creamery! Their sizes are monstrous (this is a double scoop!), and the ice cream is always refreshing. The new churro ice cream is cinnamony and features chunks of churro throughout the vanilla ice cream base. If you like churros, I promise you will be a big fan of this new dessert!

  1. Cherry N Blue Razz Dippin’ Dots

On a hot, 90 degree day at Silverwood, nothing hits the spot quite like a cool treat. This new Dippin’ Dots flavor has vibrant colors (always a big appeal for kids!) and offers a different option from the usual rainbow or cotton candy colors. The flavor was tangy and sweet. You can find these new Dippin Dots at several locations in the park: Country Carnival, Roller Coaster Alley, and Boulder Beach near the wave pools.

  1. Paninis

When looking for something to fill your belly while taking a break from the action in the park, look no further than the new paninis at High Moon Saloon. They have four varieties: grilled turkey and pepperjack, Monte Cristo, reuben, and grilled cheese. Our girls loved the grilled cheese one (it has cheddar, white cheddar and cream cheese inside!), and I am drooling thinking about the Monte Cristo I had! It was crispy and filled with turkey/ham/cheese, topped with powdered sugar, and came with a side of phenomenal strawberry jam for dipping.

  1. Slushie Flight

When the wave pool or lazy river aren’t enough to beat the heat: enter the slushie flights. There are XX types of slushies offered at Northern Flights (located by Eagle Hunt), and with the flight you get to pick four. They can come with or without alcohol. We opted for without today so my girls could try them, too (I’ll be back to try a mommy-version soon, don’t worry) We chose Blue Wave (blue Hawaiian fruit punch), Peach Mango, Jamaica Me Crazy (strawberry + piña colada…and my personal favorite!), and Banana Cream. It was fun to try all of the different flavors, and it really did the trick to cool off!

  1. Lotus Energy Drinks

I had heard all about the ever-popular, plant-based Lotus energy drinks but never tried one until now. I needed an afternoon pick-me-up, and this really hit the spot! They offer multiple flavors of Lotus (pink, blue, purple, and gold), paired with fruit syrups. I went with the Spincycle, which was purple Lotus with huckleberry and cherry syrups. It was incredibly refreshing, not too sweet, and just what I needed to keep up with all the fun! You can find Lotus drinks at the Front Coffee House (right when you walk into the park) or at the Roller Coaster Alley Refreshments (by the Flying Elephants ride).

  1. Churro Fries

Rolling in at number one are the Churro Fries. They are exactly what they sound like: churros the size of french fries. They were served piping hot, topped with cinnamon sugar, and with your choice of strawberry sauce, huckleberry sauce or whipped cream on the side for dipping (I went with the huckleberry and HIGHLY recommend it—there were fresh, full huckleberries mixed throughout the sauce!). These crispy, delightful fries are likely going to become a Silverwood staple for me and my family, and you can find them at the Sugar Shack!

When you spend a full day having fun from open to close at Silverwood, it’s important to stay fueled up. With these new delicious meals, treats, and drinks debuting in 2024, it’s easy to do just that!
