Silverwood Shopping Tips

Birds singing in the morning…. Days are lasting longer… pollen is falling from the trees, and that beautiful warm sun is shining on your face. IT’S SUMMER!!!! 

Summer in the Inland Northwest means family fun at the coolest spot in Northern Idaho – SILVERWOOD!! Grab your flip-flops, sunscreen, and towels, and plan to enjoy all the thrill rides, entertainment shows, water park, and yummy food!

Our family already has our Silverwood Bucket List all planned out this year. I am ready to make some new memories and build up our Silverwood memorabilia collection. 

We have been visiting Silverwood for Y E A R S, and each time/season we visit, we load up on all our fun things, such as photos from the rides, train wooden coins, keychains, mugs, hats, glasses, magnets, toys, and my favorite…. Shirts and sweatshirts! Can you have too many shirts and hats?? NO WAY! I absolutely love my collection of Silverwood t-shirts. The designs are so much fun, it is a great memory item, and they are super comfortable. Last year, after riding Stunt Pilot, I had to buy one of the t-shirts they had on display, and I love the design and vintage feel and look it has. I can’t tell you how many times I turn around and see one of our boys wearing my favorite tee! 

 Silverwood gift shops have also been my saving grace in times when I didn’t plan our day well enough. When you have a large family, you are bound to forget one to a few items, such as sunscreen or glasses. But, the shops have also come in handy on those days when one of us forgot a swimsuit, a kid had an accident, or you did not expect to get SOAK and WET from the bumper boats (not only can others spray you from other boats – watch out for on-lookers that can spray you from the side) and Thunder Canyon. 

FUN TIP Boulder Beach gift shop at the entrance is a great place to shop for all your swimming needs, wants, and fun toys, gifts, or souvenirs. This is a great place, too, to find a fun, fashionable hat to wear as you lounge around in one of the lovely cabanas Silverwood offers or while you float along Elkhorn Creek.

I recently got to get a sneak peek into some of the newest apparel items for this year. And yes, I already have a wish list between the sweatshirts and t-shirts we all want. Before the park opened for the day, I gathered some friends and family, and we got to have our own little Silverwood Fashion Show.

SHOPPING FUN TIP – Simple and secure way to always have your cash on hand (or wrist) – When you purchase a ticket online, you may optionally add cash to each ticket. When this ticket is scanned at the entrance gate, you will receive a Cash Band linked to your ticket that can be used to make purchases at any location in the park. This band will be secure to your wrist, so you don’t have to risk your credit card falling out when you are flying through twists and turns on our world-class coasters. In addition, your Cash Band is waterproof for purchasing that refreshing drink while floating in the lazy river. 

You may add additional funds to your Cash Band at any Silverwood Currency location in the park. You may also log into your Silverwood online account and add additional funds to each Cash Band at any time.

BEST OF ALL!! You can shop and utilize the complimentary Silverwood Package Express, which allows you to send any purchased item or prize to the Front Coffee House to be picked up at the end of the day. That way, you’re not stuck trying to manage your loot while enjoying the park!

Hello! My name is Jackie. I am married to a handsome handyman, and I’m the proud momma of 5 kids. About 13 years ago, I started my photography business, Jax Creations Photography. A couple of years ago, I started a family website called Wanderful Memories. I use this site to share ways other families can document moments in life through travel and lifestyle. A fun fact about me is that I love to cook/bake for others, and I throw a great dance party in the kitchen (when no one is around to watch my awesome dance moves, of course)! There are many parts of Silverwood that I enjoy, but if I had to narrow it down, it would be riding the Tilt-a-Whirl with my boys. I love to hear them belly laugh! My family enjoys visit Silverwood multiple times during the summer with season passes — it is the perfect way to split up the summer days by visiting the water park or getting their adrenaline going on a roller coaster.
