There’s something for everyone at Silverwood Theme Park, but let’s face it: nothing compares to experiencing the park through your kids’ eyes. You know what I am talking about those pure, unadulterated smiles and eyes filled with wonder. So I set out on a mission to create the perfect day at Silverwood for my little ones, enabling them to live their best lives.
We arrive at the park about 30 minutes before the gates open, eager to kick-start the day’s adventures. Before diving into the excitement, we make a quick stop at the Silverwood Coffee Roasting and Trading Co. to fuel up on Italian sodas (and coffee for Mom and Dad!) It’s a great opportunity to set the tone for a day filled with fun. The coffee shop/bakery opens an hour before the park does, so we arrive early to get energized with caffeine and ready to hit the ground running when the gates open – because, let’s be honest, the kids are already up and at ‘em much before the gates open!
PRO TIP: Don’t forget to purchase a souvenir cup here at the start of the day. It’s good for free refills throughout the day of purchase and only costs 99 cents for refills on future visits to Silverwood.
Our kids’ first request after entering the park is to hop on some rides. We head straight to Critter Camp, a haven for young adventurers. There’s an abundance of fun rides for little ones: from small coasters, and mini-drop rides to low-key spinning rides. Our daughters can’t get enough of the Krazy Koaster, Red Baron (airplanes), and the Puppy-Go-Round.
After they’ve ridden the Flying Elephants to their hearts’ desire, they’ve worked up quite the appetite. Thankfully, Silverwood offers a wide range of dining options to please every palate. Our kids are particularly fond of the kids’ lunch box meal, which comes with all the essentials: a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, applesauce, fruit snacks, and, of course, juice. It’s a simple and satisfying meal for the little ones, and they even get to keep the souvenir lunch box! You can find these lunch boxes at the Kidz Kafe in Critter Camp.
With satisfied bellies, our girls request a trip on the Steam Engine Train. The relaxing “A Trip to Yesteryear” ride is perfect for unwinding and giving our legs a rest for a while. Conductor Joe entertains passengers with interesting facts about the area, and there is an abundance of wildlife to keep your eyes peeled for. Just watch out for the moose: he sprayed us with water! (Which was a fantastic surprise on a scorching 90-degree day!)
Before we conclude our perfect day at Silverwood, there’s one thing we can’t leave without dessert! The park offers a wide array of sweet treats, including huge huckleberry funnel cakes, deliciously crisp caramel apples, and refreshing slushies and snow cones. However, at the top of my girls’ list is always the MASSIVE ice cream cones at the Ice Creamery. What they call a “one scoop” is actually a whopping 20 ounces of ice cream (equivalent to about FIVE regular-sized scoops!). Today, they chose to indulge in cotton candy and cookie dough flavors, but their usual favorite is a fruity sherbet called Maui Wowie.
After a fulfilling day at Silverwood, we embark on the journey back to the car. Like clockwork, within five minutes of hitting the road, our little girls are fast asleep. It’s a telltale sign for us parents that they just had a great day living their best life.
Silverwood Theme Park proves time and time again that it’s a fantastic destination for toddlers to experience pure joy. If you’re seeking a place where your little ones can revel in the wonder and create cherished memories for the whole family, Silverwood has you covered. Prepare to witness their faces light up, their smiles widen, and their hearts overflow with joy as they live their best lives.

I loved taking my girls here when they were toddlers. Now they are teens and navigate the park by themselves. This is a great family-friendly place.
Looks like they had a blast! Im glad I was able to read a post because I felt like silverwood was more for the ages of 6 and up. I feel relief that they have a bunch of stuff for littles/ toddlers to enjoy.

Good luck everyone!
Somehow our toddler is now 13! LOL But there’s still a couple things we haven’t done at Silverwood, like ride the train or get a giant ice cream cone at the ice creamery. We’ve only been a couple times because we live in Oregon & try to go when we come to visit grandma & grandpa. It would be super fun to win & go again!!
Thanks for the info. It’s been awhile since I have been there.
i’m moving out of state, I want to enjoy the park one last time!!!
