I think we can all admit that 2020 has been full of ups and downs and learning to “go with the flow” has been very important. One way my family was able to make the most out of our summer was by frequently enjoying Silverwood and Boulder Beach! The four of us enjoyed several family days, my husband and I enjoyed a few dates, my girlfriends and I had a mom’s day and my daughter and I enjoyed several mom/daughter days!
On one of our mom/daughter trips, we decided to make it “extra sweet” and did something we have never done before… we went to the Victorian Coffee House! We have walked past it a thousand times but had never went in. It was time!
Anyone that knows me, or follows me on social media, knows that I am a coffee freak! I’m so much of a coffee addict, that I even have a little “side gig” that involves coffee! Coffee is life!
I have always thought that the Victorian Coffee House was super cute and that I would love to have a house like that. It is pink, has an amazing porch that is perfect for relaxing and the yard and flowers are spectacular. When you enter, it instantly takes you back in time! The smell is mesmerizing… they even roast their own coffee beans!
Their menu offers the perfect beverage for everyone! From hot, iced and blended cappuccinos, lattes and mochas… to chai tea and breves… to real fruit smoothies and Italian sodas. They also have bottled water and pop. Oh, and don’t worry, they also have drip coffee if that’s more your style.
It was a super hot day, so my daughter and I both decided to enjoy one of their blended coffees. My daughter chose the mocha and I got the caramel. Both of them were absolutely delicious! Blended to perfection and topped with whip cream!
With a full-service barista and comfortable seating, the quiet and quaint Victorian Coffee House is the perfect spot to sit, relax, refresh and enjoy an amazing coffee! There are also some super cute tea and coffee gift items!
There is also cute outdoor seating which is perfect for enjoying the fresh air, people watching and waving to passengers on the train!
If you were not able to make it out to the park this summer, your window of opportunity has expanded. Silverwood is now open Saturdays for the month of October. Nothing goes better together than fall weather and coffee. If you’re a season pass holder – don’t forget to show them your pass to receive 10% off their already affordable prices!
Meet The Conductor
Hello! My name is Bridget Axtell. My husband and I were both born & raised in Idaho and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. We have two amazing children, (ages 16 and 19) and 3 mastiff’s! We have been enjoying Silverwood as a family for 18 years, but my first experience at was the airshow back in the late 80’s! The thing we love most about Silverwood is that there is something for EVERYONE to enjoy! Our family loves everything about visiting the park and am not sure what we would say is our favorite ride or attraction… but you absolutely MUST visit the Ice Creamery and have a waffle cone! I’ve always been a frugal Mom, so 10 years ago I started my blog Being Frugal and Making It Work, so I could share frugal deals, tips, tricks and even giveaways!
