Dear Guests,
We have received several questions about how our park is running at a reduced capacity and how it is affecting the overall guest experience. We wanted to reach out to all of you and clarify some things. Here are some frequently asked questions.
Will I Be Turned Away At The Gate?
You won’t have to worry about driving 6 hours to come out to the park and being turned away at the gate because we have developed an algorithm that limits the number of tickets sold online to make sure that we will be within our reduced capacity restraints.
How does this work? For example, say we know that 10% of all visitors for a given day use Pre-Purchased tickets, 10% are season pass holders, 10% buy their tickets at the gate, and 10% use Read 2 Ride tickets. That means that all reservation tickets online will be limited to 60% of our capacity.
What Are The Best Days To Come Out?
While we are currently running at a reduced capacity, you still might experience longer wait times on our busier days due to a couple of added safety procedures. Want to know what days are less busy on average so you can plan your trip? Here is a list sorted from least to most busy.
You might be surprised to see Sunday as the second least busy day during any given week. However, this has been true for a couple of years now. We attribute it to a lot of guests using Sunday as a travel day to go back home and get ready for the upcoming workweek.
How Do I Make Reservations For Complimentary Tickets?
Did your children earn Read 2 Ride tickets, or did your aunt win tickets on the radio? These tickets do not require reservations. All you need to do is bring your complimentary ticket to the front gate on the day of your arrival.
There you have it! If you have any additional questions that you would like answered, please leave a comment below.

I’m having trouble finding closure information…. what food sites are open? How about Phantasm?
Almost all food locations are open, but with limited hours due to staffing. Phantasm is up and running as well. Just make sure to get to the theater at least a half-hour prior to the show as there is limited seating.
So glad to hear that we won’t be turned away at the gate! Thanks for this info.
looking forward to going this month!
Love seeing which days of the week are less busy… Thanks!
Excited to come play next week!!
Helpful to see the less busy days!
